![]() ![]() I'm totally a noob when it comes to using Linux commands and subsystem WSL on Windows. Though did not see default support for Linux commands.Ĭommand Prompt/Windows Powershell/Powershell 7: Do not want to use any one of these. Uses right-clicking on the terminal screen for context menu which is better than Windows Terminal and Cmder. The Windows Terminal is a modern, fast, efficient, powerful, and productive terminal application for users of command-line tools and shells like Command Prompt, PowerShell, and WSL. A "No.No", reason - can't move tabs, that was a mood kill. And the split terminals are shown as different tabs which can be confusing at times. No Setting/Preference user interface.Ĭmder: Better than windows as there is a user interface to change Setting/Preference but is not as easier as iTerm2, though the right-clicking on the terminal screen can be changed to context menu from pasting (default), the context menu user interface is not better. ![]() The Windows Terminal is a contemporary, speedy, efficient, powerful, and productive terminal software for command-line tools and shells such as Command Prompt, PowerShell, and WSL users. It was derived from and has mostly supplanted the earlier 'iTerm' application. It has so many features and customizations. iTerm2 is a terminal emulator for macOS, licensed under GPL-2.0-or-later. Since no context menu on the terminal screen, splitting windows is tedious. Microsoft makes a great new era with this new terminal. It works on Macs with macOS 10.14 or newer. Windows Terminal: No context menu when right-clicking on the terminal screen, the click is used instead for pasting. iTerm2 is a replacement for Terminal and the successor to iTerm. Some applications I have tried with the missing features, I may NOT know all features in the application below, please let me know if you know any other application that provides better functionality and performance. ![]()
